The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Cocktail dresses or a suit and tie or sports coat.
2. What will the weather be like this time of year?
The weather in Bremen should be around 8-13ºC with temperatures dropping to around 1ºC at night. It is advisable to bring a jacket or warm layers in case of colder weather, and an umbrealla or raincoat in case of rain.
3. Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will be taking place indoors but depending on weather there will be photo opportunities in the outside gardens or surrounding area. We recommend flat-soled shoes or wedges to avoid sinking into the grass, or a spare pair of comfortable shoes for anyone that is thinking of walking between the wedding venue and restaurant where the reception will be held. The restaurant is indoor only.
4. What happens after the ceremony?
After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking photos nearby for around an hour. Guests can head to the restaurant where we will be serving beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) during cocktail hour.
5. Are there other wedding events I can attend?
We will be planning a Sunday morning breakfast/brunch at the Pentahotel. Further events may be planned, but this will be informed at a later day.
6. How do I get to the venue?
There are multiple ways of getting to both the ceremony and restaurant (see Travel Information page).
7. What time should I arrive?
Please arrive at the wedding venue no earlier than 3:30PM.
8. Where can I park?
There is a carpark near by to the Hochtiedshuus It is forbidden to park on the actual grounds due to access requirements. There are also parking options at the restaurant.
9. Are children welcome?
While we would love to invite everyone’s children, unfortunately if your child is not named on the invitation we will be unable to accommodate them.
10. Can I bring a plus one?
Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list. Our celebration is strictly RSVP. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on the wedding invitation.
11. Do you have reservations at a hotel for the wedding?
We have reserved a limited amount of rooms at the Pentahotel, Bremen. The hotel is about 6 km from the reception location. Please find details on this page here.
12. When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail it or can I do it online?
Thank you in advance for sending your RSVP before 14th January 2024. You can simply RSVP right here.
13. Will there be food and drink during cocktail hour?
After the wedding ceremony there will be an opportunity to toast our wedding at the Hochtiedshuus with a prosecco (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). After moving to Oberneulander’s there will be a select choice of wine, beer and hot and cold soft drinks before the meal.
14. Will food be served at the reception?
There will be a multi-course sit down buffet at the wedding followed by a dessert or cake course. We expect the meal to be spread out over a few hours and there will be breaks for speeches and other activities.
15. Will there be vegan, vegetarian, gluten free or other special dietary option?
There will be both vegan and vegetarian options at the restaurant, and we are able to accommodate any other requirements if notified ahead of time.
16. Where are you registered?
Whatever you want to give us is wonderful, the choice is yours, but money is at the top of our wish list.
17. Will transportation be provided between the ceremony, reception and hotel?
Regrettably we will be unable to organise transport for everyone between the ceremony, reception and hotel. We ask that everyone organise their own transport or possibly carshare with each other. The ceremony and reception are near to each other, and if the weather is suitable it is possible to walk between the two locations. We estimate this will take about 15 to 20 minutes, and if you are thinking of walking please bring comfortable shoes.
18. Will the venue be easily accessible for wheelchairs, walkers or other accessibility aids?
The wedding venue is easily accessible for everyone, and there are only a few steps to access Oberneulander’s restaurant.
